Apprenticeships in Hairdressing

Who is the course for? Anyone aged 16 or over, up to their 25th birthday can apply for an Apprenticeship. You will need to have an interest in fashion, be creative and possess an outgoing personality and good communication skills.

What will I learn? Once qualified, you will be able to analyse the hair in preparation for a variety of hairdressing services and carry out those services to a professional standard. You will have improved communication skills and as recent studies have shown, be on the road to being one of the happiest members of the workforce, achieving enormous job satisfaction. You will gain valuable on-site practical experience using industry modern techniques and technology.

You will also develop your key skills that include working with others, problem solving, employment rights and responsibilities all of which will help enhance your career.

How long is the course? Apprenticeships in Hairdressing take approximately 1-2 years depending on the level and your prior attainment and experience. You will spend 1 day a week in our training salon in Bideford, and you will be assessed in your work placement by our own assessor.

What next? Completion of the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Hairdressing will not only mean you are now qualified as a Hairdresser but will open the door to additional career opportunities. Those opportunities include teaching, training and assessing.
